Look below to see what the Honda Sensing* Safety Suite entails, then visit Mahwah Honda outside of Paramus for a new Honda Accord, Ridgeline, or Civic equipped with the latest Honda technology!

Honda Sensing Safety Features

Honda Sensing safety suite is found as a standard feature on the higher-tier trims of new Honda cars and new Honda SUVs. For example, if you choose the new Honda CR-V, you’ll get Honda Sensing on the EX, EX-L, and Touring. This suite takes Honda safety to a new level with the following driver-assistive technologies:

Honda Lane Departure Warning
Lane Departure Warning (LDW): LDW uses a camera sensor to recognize lane markings; if you begin to drift to another lane unintentionally, the Lane Departure Warning will warn you with visual and audible alerts inside the cabin
Honda Sensing Lane Keeping Assist
Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS): At speeds of over 45 mph, Lane Keep Assist System keeps your vehicle centered by applying steering torque to push your Honda car back to the center of your lane.
Honda Sensing Road Departure Mitigation
Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM): If you begin to leave your lane or the road without a turning signal, RDM can apply steering torque to return your Honda car or SUV to its previous position.
Honda Sensing Cruise Control
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC): In addition to adhering to your preset speed, ACC also lets you determine and set an ideal distance interval, which your Honda car or SUV will maintain by automatically braking and accelerating your car.
Honda Sensing Collision Mitigation Braking
Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS): CMBS uses a millimeter-wave radar sensor to detect slowing or stopped vehicles in front of you and send alerts and warnings throughout the cabin, and in serious situations, Honda Sensing can brake autonomously to mitigate collision damage.
Honda Sensing Forward Collision Warning
Forward Collision Warning (FCW): Working in accordance with CMBS, Forward Collision Warning uses a forward-facing camera to detect straight-ahead vehicles. If you don’t react in time, CMBS triggers automatic braking.
